Hi, I'm David Tran, an 18-year-old artist, and I love expressing myself through my art. I aim to inspire through musical arrangement, production, lyricism, and visuals.
With its nostalgic, 60s-inspired orchestral sound, “Once Again” powerfully conveys the desperate desire for a certain "you" to hold on and never let go. The sweeping, big band-inspired arrangement immediately pulls you into its world—a world that won’t let you escape.
Featuring Étienne MzA, whose rich, vintage vocals blend warmth with an almost menacing intensity, his presence perfectly enhances the song’s evocative atmosphere—made to shine on stage!
‘Run from Love’ captures the recurring fear of vulnerability and the hesitation that follows repeated
heartache and betrayed hopes.
This vibrant City Pop track delves into the
struggle of facing a decision clouded by past anxieties, while
pushing forward despite the fears
left by old scars.
What does the word “Illusion” actually mean?
“An instance of a wrong or misinterpreted perception of a sensory experience.”
The first track since “Nightmare” which continues the story line again is about David’s response to finding out a bitter truth which is having
believed a certain lie the whole time.
Out of the three songs—'Daydream,' 'Stuck in The Paradise,' and 'Nightmare'—which are part of a huge story, 'About You' plays a different role. It doesn’t serve a significant part in the overarching story but stands alone as its own
track.
This upbeat track “Goodbye” talks about the difficulty of saying “Goodbye” despite of knowing its necessity.
The “Goodbye” I’m expressing in this song refers to everything necessary to let go of.
Which might be chains attached
to the past, anxiety, worry, people, places.
Everything bad you’re holding on to.
'About You' wasn’t something I had planned alongside the other songs. It’s more of a feeling that unexpectedly emerged into a song.
The track talks about a 'you' who unknowingly trapped me in an empty room, surrounded by mirrors. These walls, which echoed every thought I had about this 'you,' grew louder with each repetition with my only view being my mirror
reflection which made me mentally insane. The overwhelming echoes that didn’t stop attacking my sense of self-worth inspired me to translate those emotions musically, turning them into art."
My track 'Nightmare' talks about a fear that opens the eyes.Because what cures symbolic blindness? The fear of its negative consequences. Good fear isn’t there to belittle you.
It is there to warn you.And that's what I address in 'Nightmare.' I talk about a kind of fear that isn't meant to pull you down, but to elevate you by making you realize something essential.Realize a necessity. This necessity makes you ascend from the ground. From fear comes sight, and from sight, if you choose, comes a sense of necessity.
